Higgins (6’1″ 198) was drafted in the fifth round of the 2016 draft. I was shocked by the pick because I knew nothing about the kid. He didn’t stand out much during his rookie campaign, but made an impact this year with 27 catches for 312 yards and two scores. Unfortunately, his most memorable play this year was a third quarter fumble against Chicago. It was a nice 17-yard gain consisting of dodging defenders until the ball popped out at the three yard line. The 23-year-old is locked up for another two years until free agency in 2020. Higgins is set to make $630 thousand in 2018 and $720 thousand in 2019.
