Josh Gordon

After a hiatus of more than two years, Gordon returned to the gridiron for the last five games of the season. He had an immediate impact on the offense seeing a team-high 11 targets and caught four of them for 85 yards. He finished with 18 catches for 335 and a touchdown. It clearly seems like Gordon hasn’t missed a beat. He looks as quick and strong as ever. Gordon (6’3″ 225) is an interesting free agency case. Gordon is still playing on his rookie contract he signed back in 2012. Due to suspensions, the 26-year-old only has two accrued seasons (seasons in which he played six or more games) in his career qualifying him to be an exclusive rights free agent, because his four-year contract has expired. If Cleveland offers Gordon a contract and they would be stupid if they didn’t, then no team would be able to sign him. If he plays in 2018, he would be eligible to become a restricted free agent in 2019. My guess is that he will be locked up long-term considering the receiver keeps his heads on straight.
