Who Should Be the 5th Starter for the Cleveland Indians?

One of the prominent questions surrounding the Cleveland Indians this off-season is “Who will be the 5th starter?” The final spot in the rotation will most likely be earned in spring training, so we will have to wait a few months to hear the answer. Either way, this question raises some debate as to who deserves it and who doesn’t. In this article, I’ll be breaking down all the candidates for the 5th spot and telling you who I think deserves the last spot in the rotation.

Right now, the Indians have the first four spots in the rotation set. It currently includes Cy Young winner Corey Kluber, Carlos Carrasco, Trevor Bauer, and the newly-signed Gavin Floyd. The 5th spot is up in the air, and there are four guys who all believe they deserve it – Josh Tomlin, Zach McAllister, Danny Salazar, and T.J. House. All have had their ups and downs in the past, but there are some who have a better shot at the 5th spot than others.
