Who Ranks at No. 1 of the Cleveland Browns Draft Picks?

The Cleveland Browns had a successful NFL Draft weekend. They selected seven players and walked away by many accounts to have had one of the best drafts in the league.

One of the best things to come out of this draft for Ohio sports fans too was that the Browns selected two Ohio State football players in huge offensive lineman Dawand Jones, followed by selecting center Luke Wypler. This hasn’t happened in 58 years so this is welcome news! Why the Browns haven’t invested in selecting more Buckeyes in the past will remain a mystery. I, like you, are just happy to see a glimpse of progress. It’s not like Ohio State has one of the premier college programs in the country.

Anyway, back to this story. We’re going to rank the seven draft picks by their potential in the future for the Browns while also considering how they will help the team now.

No. 7 Cameron Mitchell, Cornerback, Northwestern

He was taken in the sixth round and will supply some good depth at the slot position in time. His former teammate Greg Newsome at Northwestern will be happy to return to the outside corner spot.
