Week 1: Browns vs Chiefs: Regular Season Football is Back

On Sunday, September 12, 2021, the Cleveland Browns will be traveling to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. The kickoff will start at 4:25 pm. The Cleveland Browns begin their revenge tour right away as they are re-matching the team they faced in the Divisional Round of the 2020 NFL season.

There are many exciting things that are going to be occurring in this game. I will make the argument that this game will be the “Game of the Week” for Week 1. First of all, the matchup will be Mayfield vs. Mahomes, which will create heavy ratings. Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes will be having five new offensive line starters, while the Browns will have a revamped defense. Some of the new players the Browns acquired over the offseason for the defense are:

DE Jadeveon Clowney, DT Malik Jackson, and CB first-round draft pick Greg Newsome II.

Everyone on the Browns offense will be returning, including WR Odell Beckham Jr. who was hurt for most of the season last year. I think this game will be a challenge for Cleveland, but that does not mean the Browns can’t win this game. If the Browns defense finds a way to force turnovers, Cleveland will have a successful day.

Overall, I am super excited that the Browns face the Chiefs for the first game of the season. I believe that this will help produce confidence within the Browns team chemistry. The other significant about this game is…it actually means something. That is correct, no more preseason. The regular season is upon us and we finally have Browns football back!

Let’s go DawgPound! Time to get loud! Here we go Brownies here we go!!
