Tribe Offense Heating Up!
It was a beautiful day for baseball at the corner of Carnegie and Ontario today. Just like the weather the Indians offense was heating up.
The Tribe’s offense tied a season high with 15 hits, 7 of those hits came from Brantley and Cabrera. Brantley himself has been on fire so far this May. He is batting .360, with a .945 OPS along with 6 RBIs and 1 HR. Cabera finally came around today going 4-5 with a homer and a double with 3 RBIs. Both Brantley and Cabrera were a triple shy of the cycle.
The starting pitching continued to dominate at Masty was dealing today. He went 6.1 IP, 4R (2ER) on 4 hits with 7 Ks and 4 walks. Indians starting pitching over this home stand have combined for 4-0 with a 1.94 with 51 strikeouts in 46 1/3 innings.
The Tribe wen 5-2 this home stand tanking 2/3 with the Soxs and 3/4 with the Twins. It was great to see 2 divison series wins after the 0-6 road trip. The Indians hope to continue this on the road as we head to Tampa for a 3 game series.
