Trade Made: How Browns Finished Off 2023 Draft!

To finish off the 2023 Draft, the Browns made a pick at 190 for center Luke Mypler out of Ohio State. He’s the second Buckeye selected in this year’s draft by the Browns. The first was OT Dawand Jones in the 4th round.

Then, to the surprise of those still watching, the team traded their final pick in the 7th round at number 229 overall to the Baltimore Ravens for a 2024 6th-rounder. It is interesting for the team to trade within the division…

In regards to Mypler, here is a scouting report via Draft Network:

Top Reasons to Buy In:

  • Controlled technician
  • Understands angles and features excellent range
  • Pass blocking

Top Reasons For Concern:

  • Modest functional strength
  • Tendency to get outreached
  • Lack of versatility

Size (NFL Combine):

Height: 6′ 3”

Weight: 303 lbs

Arm Length: 31 5/8”

Hand Size: 9 5/8”

Note: Baltimore ended up selecting OG Andrew Vorhees in the slot the Browns would’ve picked in.
