Tough Loss! Blame the Refs or Blame the Cavs? Takeaways:

Cavs Bench

People have raved about the Cavs bench and how this team may be better suited to beat the Warriors than teams of past because of the depth. The bench has impressed with the likes of Kyle Korver, Dwayne Wade and Jeff Green. Today, the bench was unimpressive, to say the least.

Jeff Green – 20 mins, 0 Reb, 0 Ast, 3 Pts, +/- -6

Kyle Korver-  21 mins, 3 Reb, 0 Ast, 3 Pts, +/- -3

Dwayne Wade – 29 mins, 5 Reb, 4 Ast, 13 Pts, +/- -9

If the Cavs want any chance of beating the Warriors in June, the bench has to step up. Take a look at the production the Warriors got from the bench.

Andre Iguodala – 24 mins, 6 Reb, 1 Ast, 9 Pts, +/- +12

Shaun Livingston – 14 mins, 0 Reb, 3 Ast, 4 Pts, +/- +2

David West – 13 mins, 4 Reb, 2 Ast, 0 Pts, +/- + 4

Yes, these numbers are nothing impressive, but the Warriors also have more star power than the Cavs. The Cavs lean on their bench more than the Warriors. If the Cavs want any chance in June, the bench has to be more productive than they were today.
