Tom Cable

Yeah, you’re probably thinking that I’m crazy, but hear me out. He owns a 17-27 record as head coach of the Oakland Raiders. He took over in 2008 after a 0-4 start and they finished 4-8, which is nothing to brag about. He did improve them to 5-11 and then 8-8 before Al Davis decided not to renew his contract. With Cable coaching the offensive line in 2007, the Raiders running game ranked sixth in the league. In 2008, they finished 10th and 2nd in 2010 which ended up being his final season. Since then, Cable has been the coaching the offensive line of the Seahawks and having the title of associate head coach. He may not want to leave a good situation in Seattle for an offensive line job, but Cleveland could lure him that head coach title. He has done a tremendous job coaching his players in Seattle. Russell Wilson is an evasive quarterback, but that line gives him plenty of time and keeps him upright. As a head coach, his knowledge and know how could have only improved under Pete Carroll’s wing.
