I know I am not the only one old enough to have a few Kardiac Kids flashbacks during the Week 15 match-up in Denver. What a win, what a game. I have spent so many years being the tough and stoic fan who was going to endure my team if it killed me. This is fun, this winning…I’m still scared to get used to it, but I must say I enjoy it a lot.
The announcer said Bernie Kosar was under center the last time we beat Denver. That’s all well and good, but it is a NEW DAY in Browns Town. I know our playoff hopes are pretty slim, but bloody hell, we have a chance to go to the playoffs. (Without the team buying tickets.)
Well, my Top Dawg this week practically chose himself. Jabrill Peppers has been called a disappointment by some, but the man brought his A-game to Denver for a great prime time show. Not only did Peppers intercept Denver Broncos’ quarterback, Case Keenum, but he also deflected Keenum’s pass forcing 4th down and slammed the door shut on the Broncos when he flew out of the secondary and sacked Keenum, essentially ensuring the victory and ending the game.
GREAT way to make a statement on the national stage, Jabrill, and congrats! You are the Week 15 Top Dawg.
