Top Dawg Tuesday- Isaiah Crowell

Hey, Cleveland. In this week’s Top Dawg Tuesday, I’m looking back on my Top Dawg for Week 10 of the 2017 season. None other than “The Crow,” Isaiah Crowell.
I, for one, have some fond memories of Crowell in the orange and brown. Although, that awful quacking sound played at First Energy Stadium when he did well is not among these memories.
It looks as if Crowell will be on his way out of New York before mid-March. The Jets have until March 15th to cut Crowell loose, or they must pay him $ 2-million of the guaranteed money from the three-year $12-million deal made in March 2018.
While some injuries slowed his game in 2018, Crowell had a pair of impressive performances that left me wishing he and that noise were still in Cleveland. During Week 1 against the Detroit Lions, Crowell scored a pair of touchdowns and racked up 102 rushing yards on 10 carries. In Week 5 against the Denver Broncos, the Crow had one TD but rushed for 219 yards on 15 tries. The balance of his season Crowell did not shine quite so brightly as he never had another 100- yard game.
Although Crowell’s release from the New York Jets is not a sure thing, word out of NYC has the Jets overhauling their backfield without him. Wherever he plays, I wish the Crow all the best, and I hope his team in 2019 finds an authentic “crow” sound for their stadium.
