While Pippen was defending for the Bulls, David Robinson was the best defender that the San Antonio Spurs had. His first 7 seasons were his greatest, where he averaged 3 blocks in each game, if not more. As such, he made the All-Defensive selection 8 times and led for blocks in 1991 and ’92.
