Today is the Day: Guardians 2022 Opening Day is Today

Tonight at 7:10 pm, the Cleveland Guardians will be having their home opener against the San Francisco Giants. It has been confirmed that this game will be sold out which will be the 29th straight sold-out home opener since Progressive Field opened. SP Zach Plesac will be taking the mound for the Guardians as they look to get their fifth straight win.

The Guardians did not start the season too hot with a struggle to score runs in their first two games. Now, they are on a four-game winning streak and are looking to extend the win streak. The Guardians and Jose Ramirez have agreed on a seven-year extension, keeping him here in Cleveland until the 2028 season.

After a not-so-productive offseason, Cleveland fans should be excited about the way the Guardians have been playing so far. Rookie OF Steven Kwan has been on fire to start out the season which can be a nice weapon for this Guardians team. OF Oscar Mercado has also been hitting the ball well to start out the season.

This is a young baseball team, and they are looking to compete well so far. If these guys can continue to hit the ball the way they have been doing, there is a chance to finish with a really great record.

Guardian’s fans!!! Stand up as Cleveland takes the field and cheer them on. This should be a great game and a fun season with the looks of it. Go Guardians!!!
