Three Players to Tame the Indians Injury Bug

Carlos Santana

The first pick was almost too easy.
In case you’ve been living under a rock and missed all of last season, Carlos Santana is back home in an Indians uniform, where he should be.
Although Santana has averaged .259 in his final two seasons in Cleveland, his .365 OBP and .477 SLG should be more than enough to provide plenty of at-bats that end with him being in scoring positions for those hitting behind him, while driving in many runners himself.
Santana has also been on a tear during Spring Training, hitting .397/.433/.651 in 22 games. If you want to take those stats with a grain of salt given the level of competition, that’s understandable, but if Santana is able to take this hot streak into Minnesota this week, the Indians will be alright on offense (and defense) with “The Real Slamtana” leading the way.
