Kevin Love 25 & 12
One of the biggest storylines of the past four seasons was the obvious inevitable decline of Kevin Love’s production on the court. It was obvious that Kevin Love wouldn’t put up the numbers that he did in Minnesota as he was sharing the court with Kyrie Irving and more importantly LeBron James.
Love didn’t put up outrageous numbers in his time with the Timberwolves until the very end of his tenure. It’s interesting to wonder what kind of numbers that Love would’ve put up if he stayed with the Timberwolves for the last four seasons.
In his last season with Minnesota, he put up 26.1 PPG and 12.5 RPG. He would’ve been in contention for MVP had the team been in playoff contention.
Love is once again the best player on a team and we will see a much more aggressive player. You saw in the previous seasons, more so the last season, that Kevin Love would be aggressive from the beginning of the game.
We had a sample of what an aggressive Kevin Love would look like and we can expect the same thing this upcoming season. Building around Love will be much easier now that he just recently extended his contract for multiple years.
Expecting 25 points and 12 rebounds a game wouldn’t be a stretch.
