The Ins and Outs of the Cavs and Warriors Rivalry!

History Of Regular Season

I am a firm believer that this game means nothing in the long run. The first time these two matched up on Christmas was 2015 in Oracle, which the Cavs lost 89-83 and then suffered an embarrassing loss on Martin Luther King Day in 2016 by a score of 132-98, which most believe was the final straw for David Blatt as the Cavs coach. We all know how that season ended with the Cavs holding up the Larry O’Brien trophy.

Last year, the Cavs won in a thriller at home, 109-108, featuring Richard Jefferson dunks and another Kyrie Irving dagger into the hearts of the Warriors. On MLK day last year, the Cavs experienced another lopsided loss by a score of 126-91. Of course, we remember who was the one holding up the Larry O’Brien trophy in June.

Point being is regardless of the outcome, this means almost nothing.
