Opponents Aren’t Making Contact

The Indians pitching staff has only allowed their opponents 37 total hits on the season. The pitching staff also leads MLB in OBA (On Base Average) at .174. The team’s WHIP (Walks and Hits in Innings Pitched) is only 1.0 which is second in MLB. The team is fourth in team ERA as well at 2.95. Teams don’t hit, they can’t score runs and that spells victory. Indians starting pitcher Zach Plesac leads the team with a 1.38 ERA. Indians ace Shane Bieber doesn’t have a win on the season yet but has 24 strikeouts which leads the league.
