BROWNS Draft Mockery
The free agency frenzy has calmed to a slow crawl, so it’s time to start concentrating on the NFL draft. For my first mock draft, I’m using the simulator provided by NFL Mock Draft, https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/mock-draft-simulator and I’ll be using player grades from https://thedraftnetwork.com/ and https://www.pff.com/. There will be no trades, however, Browns GM Andrew Berry always trades current picks for future picks. Here we go.
Pick 74, Gervon Dexter, DT, Florida
Dexter was interviewed by the Browns at the combine, had a team visit and the Browns were well represented at the Florida Pro-day. Perfect fit for an attacking-style defense that has flashes of dominance. Ranked number 66 on the draft networks’ big board. Has a Pro Football Focus run grade of 70.0 and a defensive grade of 67.5. Dexter is a third-round value.
