The Cavs: What Is LeBron Thinking?

I love to write about LeBron James. A legendary basketball player that is still playing and we should appreciate what we have in him. As the Cavs play the Nets in this play-in game, I wonder what The King is thinking about everything…

See, I respect LeBron because he won Cleveland a championship in Cleveland coming back from down 3-1 against the Golden State Warriors. He made sure to fulfill his promise and did so in a dramatic fashion.

LeBron will be sitting out these playoffs.

His Lakers finished 33-49 and in 11th place in the West. Their head coach was fired and it’s more chaos in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, his former team the Cleveland Cavaliers are playing for a spot in the playoffs against said Nets in the play-in game at the Barclays Center.

The Cavs finished with a 44-38 record and in 8th place in the East. A much better finish than anyone predicted to start the season. Additionally, the team has a bright future regardless of how this game turns out. The group has a lot of injuries and that could prevent them from getting the slot…

Now, LeBron isn’t used to missing out on the playoffs like this year. It was only during his rookie season that his Cavs missed out way back in the 03-04 season.

Does LeBron wish he was on the Cavs currently? Of course. He would want to have an opportunity to contend for a championship here in Cleveland. There are even rumblings of a possible return (again) for LeBron to Cleveland in the future to play with this young bunch. Boy, would that be fun to watch.

We will have to see what the future holds, but right now the Cavs must focus on the task at hand and try and defeat the Nets on the road. It’s not going to be easy, but this team can find a way to do it. It’ll be an exciting battle against a great squad. Is this team up for the task?

Well, they don’t have LeBron to provide 30+ points…
