The Browns Are Retaining Center Ethan Pocic

Now, we all know that the center position is a part of the offensive line. This isn’t the most exciting part of a football team, but it is one of the most important.
The Browns offensive line has the job of protecting quarterback DeShaun Watson from the defense trying to sack him to the ground.
The newest signing of center Ethan Pocic is 27 and is heading into his 7th year in the league, second with the Browns. The previous five were as a member of the Seattle Seahawks. He’s played a total of 70 games.
It’s reported that the starter will be extended for three years and on a deal worth $18 million plus incentives moving forward.
Via cle dot com: Pocic ranked fifth in the NFL among centers in pass block win rate last season (96.2%) and fourth in run block win rate (74.6%). Those are some pretty solid numbers and make this signing worth the cost.
Frankly, it’s always good to keep the offensive line steadfast and the best Super-Bowl-winning teams have a great offensive line. Keeping Pocic on the roster for these upcoming Watson years is crucial for the success of it all.
