The Banana Boat Brothers

If you would have told me in 2011, when the Cavs won 19 total games, that we would have both LeBron James AND Dwayne Wade wearing a Cavs uniform I probably would have laughed in your face.

But, it happened.

Tuesday night was the debut of the two biggest members of the Banana Boat crew and it was every bit as awesome as I expected.

I don’t care how old or out of his prime Wade is, him in a Cavs jersey puts a bigger smile on my face than when a girl doesn’t completely blow me off after “hello”.

Like most Cavs fans, I grew up cheering after a Ricky Davis dunk or a Daniel Gibson three.  So, to have two future hall of famers put together some highlight real plays it is obviously going to be a bigger deal to Cleveland than the average fan base.

Anyway, the Banana Boat Brothers brought us to our feet when it meant the most in the fourth quarter.

Lets start off with the play we have all been waiting for.

After years of watching these two do this repeatedly in Miami, it felt good to see them do it in the Whine and Gold in front of a packed house at the Q.

Probably the biggest play of the game is when the two showed off their incredible defense.

Wade finished with 8 points, 3 assists, the one block shown above, and had a +/-0.

Lebron finished with a team highs of 29 points, 15 boards, and 9 assists.  He finished with a +/-2.

There are a lot of things to talk about with the Tuesday nights game and eventually they will be talked about.

But tonight, we should be thankful that two of the NBAs biggest stars will be putting up highlights on almost a nightly basis for the Cavs.

Of course it is totally natural to be upset when the team isn’t playing well, but before you jump off the ledge make sure you remember JJ Hickson and Christian Eyenga.
