Strengths and Weaknesses of the top QB’s in the Class of 2018
Taking a look at the Strengths and Weaknesses of the Top QB’s coming out for the 2018 NFL Draft.
Josh Rosen
Strengths
Rosen is the most gifted and natural passer in the class. He throws with anticipation, timing and accuracy at all three levels. Possess average to above average arm strength for the NFL, enough to make all the throws. A smart kid who seemed to really understand the offense he was given at UCLA. He has the purest throwing motion of all the QBs. He has ideal height at 6’4. He is the most pro-ready QB, who will be ready to start day one if given the opportunity. Seems to be born to play the QB position.
Weaknesses
Although 6’4″, Rosen has a slender frame and a history of injuries at UCLA. Although highly intelligent, he has shown to be outspoken in the media, which can be undesirable at that position in the NFL. Not particularly mobile, more of a pocket passer. His teams have underachieved at UCLA compiling a mediocre record of 17-13 with him as the starting QB, (1-6) without him. Sat out his team’s bowl game and seems unwilling to commit to a team if not in his ideal situation.
