Spotlight on the Browns’ New Coaches

Todd Haley, Offensive Coordinator

The procurement of Todd Haley helps the Browns two-fold. First, it gives the Browns a proven OC which gives Head Coach Hue Jackson the opportunity to step back and be more of a CEO. Second, Haley was previously the OC for the Pittsburgh Steelers, so this move helps the Browns and hurts the Steelers.

Haley started his NFL career as a scouting assistant for the New York Jets and then has proceeded to have a long coaching career. Starting as a wide receivers coach for the Jets, Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys before getting his first OC job with the Arizona Cardinals. From 2009 – 2011 he was the head coach for the Kansas City Chiefs. After the Chiefs, he was OC for the Steelers until he joined the Browns this offseason.

Haley has had a lot of success developing young wide receivers and I expect big things from Corey Coleman and Antonio Callaway under Haley’s tutelage.
