Sources in Berea Say Browns No. 1 Pick is Already Decided
The NFL Draft is still a month away, but one Cleveland sports personality claims that the No. 1 pick has already been decided.
Ken Carman, host of “The Ken Carman Show With Anthony Lima,” on Cleveland Sport’s Radio 92.3 The Fan claims that the pick is already in. In fact, Carman was willing to bet his reputation that what his sources are telling him is accurate.

According to Carman, quarterback Sam Darnold is the No. 1 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
It remains unknown who Carman’s sources in Berea are and how reliable they are. It’s quite possible that his sources could have walked right into a smokescreen. However, he seems convinced that the Browns will be selecting Darnold first overall. League-wide, many NFL analysts are very high on Darnold, who the Browns have scouted heavily.
From the outside looking in, this quarterback draft class looks really close. While Josh Allen and Baker Mayfield are higher risks, they could have higher ceilings. Sam Darnold or Josh Rosen probably have the lowest potential to bust. It’s not wild to believe Ken Carman’s insiders found that Darnold is the pick; he’s the safest choice for the Browns.
Ultimately, the decision, which might already be made, is up to John Dorsey and the Cleveland Browns.
