The yards are turning green. Leaves are returning to the trees. People’s allergies are flaring up. And, there’s a lot of scratching and itching going on. Remember, things are not always as they appear.
In a season which we have never seen in 2020, the 2021 Major League Baseball is quickly rounding the corners and into home plate. Whether home plate is Progressive Field, RingCentral Coliseum, Globe Life Field, or wherever, fans in Cleveland, Oakland, and Arlington are completely inundated with the hope of their team’s success.
The most incredible thing accomplished last year was simply the completion of the season. MLB commissioner Rob Manfred was vilified by many when he announced there would be fans in the seats this year. When the announcement was made, there were still many unknowns with regard to the Coronavirus.
Will the vaccines be available?
How effective would the shots be?
Will franchises require their players to get the shot?
Now and on the cusp of a new season, Covid positive tests amongst players are low. The vaccines are going forth at tremendous rates. There is the great hope of fans of all teams that not only will there be a completed, uninterrupted season, but their team is just as much in the mix as any other.
So, strap on your seatbelts, your chest protectors and grab your peanuts/hot dogs/cracker jacks for a full marathon that is…The Major League Baseball Season.
