Interviews: Deshaun Watson is Screwed

Newly signed Deshaun Watson has a big problem with the interviews of the women that have allegedly accused him of misconduct. It’s two of the 22 in total. What Ashley Solis and Kyla Hayes said about Watson is vile and disgusting. The words spoken are so terrible that I will not post them in this article.
Now, let’s be clear in saying that there is really no way to prove that these words are true. It wasn’t on camera or photographed and this is the problem.
Additionally, the grand jury declined to charge Watson criminally thus he won’t be going to jail or anything like that moving forward.
Watson was signed to the Browns for a five-year contract worth 230 million dollars. It’s the largest contract for a quarterback in NFL history. The franchise is waiting for the league to come up with a punishment for Watson before this upcoming season.
My opinion on what will happen:
With these two interviews amongst the total 22 allegations, the NFL is going to suspend Watson for the entire season. This is to keep the image of the league intact, so to speak. To throw the hammer down about the misconduct by the quarterback.
I recently wrote an article saying that the Browns may know something that everyone else doesn’t due to a signing of a player, Jadeveon Clowney. After seeing these interviews, that may not be the case. Watson may get a severe punishment
The Browns still have quarterback Baker Mayfield on the roster. Additionally, the team has quarterbacks Jacoby Brissett and Joshua Dobbs in the locker room. Some have even suggested that Baker may play starting quarterback if Watson is suspended.
That was shocking a few weeks ago.
The NFL is going to continue its investigation and I believe these interviews are going to be a huge part of the final decision made by the league. It will truly affect the Browns this season as obviously if Watson is suspended for the year the team will not play as well as him starting for the entire season.
If you are interested in hearing the full interviews it’s on HBO Real Sports With Bryant Gumble. Trust me, it’s a lot to take in and these women are brave to share their stories with the public in an interview format.
As I’ve said before, this is a waiting game. It’s up to the NFL to decide the outcome and that is that…
We will hopefully hear the news soon.
