One of the biggest things that stood out to me at Yankee Stadium was the number of ads they had all around the stadium. Some might say that isn’t entertainment, but it almost was with how many they had.
Anyways, besides the actual baseball game, Yankee Stadium provided pretty similar entertainment compared to Progressive Field and other ballparks. On their main screen, they would have a lot of live fan interaction videos and player interviews in between innings. For those that got really bored when there was no action, they had Daily News stands around the stadium.
Whenever a runner was in scoring position, they would play drum noises, but still not a real one played by John Adams at Progressive Field. For the most part, the fans were pretty engaging and would talk to each other even if they were in another section. During the game, they would do a lot of “Let’s Go Yankees!” chants.
When the seventh inning stretch came around, they played, “Take Me Out to the Ballgame,” but did not play, “God Bless America,” which is played at Progressive. After the game, though, they played, “New York, New York,” by Frank Sinatra. Unfortunately, there were not any fireworks during the game, making Progressive special for that reason.
