Pick #35 – Cleveland Browns Select RB Nick Chubb
Remember when the Browns took on Brock Osweiler’s contract from the Houston Texans? They also gave us a second round pick just for our troubles and that pick turned into Georgia running back Nick Chubb with the 35th overall pick.
Chubb was a four-year starter for the Bulldogs and ran for 1,500 plus yards and 14 touchdowns as a freshman. He suffered a gruesome knee injury the following year but avoided tearing his ACL. With his NFL dreams still in sight, he bounced back to run for over 1,000 yards as a junior and over 1,300 as a senior.
This guy is a flat out playmaker. Chubb ran for 44 touchdowns in three and a half seasons and he can pass catches out the backfield too. He is also a pretty good blocker. Chubb could have an impact right away, but Cleveland isn’t forced to rely on him with Carlos Hyde and Duke Johnson on the roster.
