Peavy Looks for Revenge Against House

Two weeks ago the Indians and Red Sox met in Cleveland last week for a 3 game series in which Cleveland dominated. So far in Boston it has been the polar opposite in just about every aspect. In Cleveland T.J House out-pitched the veteran righty in Jake Peavy. The right-hander has allowed at least four earned runs in five of his last six starts after posting a 2.87 ERA in April.

House threw 5 2/3 innings in that 5-3 Cleveland wvictory two weeks ago, allowing two runs, two walks, six hits and striking out four. Peavy took the loss by allowing five runs and eight hits.

We will see if the opposite of two weeks ago continues to be the trend tonight in Boston as Cleveland looks to right the ship, and salvage the rest of the road trip.

Players to watch:

Michael Brantley: Brantley seems to find his name on this list just about every day, after going 2-4 last night and driving in a run. His average is now up to a scorching .316

Carlos Santana: Santana is hitting .286 in the month of June, and went 2-4 with a 2 run homer (his 8th) in yesterday’s contest. Though he is sill batting a mere .176 he has shown signs of coming out of his seemingly never-ending slump lately.
