Cleveland and the fan base are hoping that he can deliver for years to come. Josh Naylor, his older brother, is one of their best hitters in the lineup and clutch in big situations. Bo Naylor came into Tuesday’s game hitting .191, but he was on a mission against the Kansas Coty Royals. Naylor connected not one but two home runs against Kansas City.
In the bottom of the third inning, Bo Naylor homered to deep right centerfield off Zack Greinke to put the Guardians on the board. In the bottom of the fifth inning, with one man on base, Naylor stepped up to the plate and hit another home run to deep center field. It is Naylor’s first career multi-home run game. Bo Naylor finished the game going 2-for-3 with two home runs and three RBIs. He has four home runs and 11 RBIs this season so far.
The Guardians won this game 5-1 and are within one win away from reaching the .500 mark (50-51).
Guardians starting pitcher Aaron Civale picked up the win. Through eight innings, he gave up one earned run and struck out five batters.
