NEED TO KNOW: Guardians Beat Rays in 15 Innings, 1-0! Series Over!

In this series, I will write a “Need To Know” article for every Cleveland Guardians Playoff Game telling you all there is after the game is over! Today, the Guardians beat the Tampa Bay Rays in Game Two, 1-0, in 15 innings to win the series!

HELLO NEW YORK! Bring on The Yankees!

After winning this series, the Guardians will now take on the Yankees in the ALDS for a five-game battle! First two in NY, second two in CLE and Game Five in Ny.

This Was A Unique Playoff Game!

It was the first playoff game to go 13 innings of scoreless baseball!

Starter Triston McKenzie was AMAZING!

Six innings, two hits, eight strikeouts, two walks, no earned runs!

Great Job By The Bullpen!

Karinchak, Stephan, Clase, Sandlin, Morgan, De Los Santos, Henteges! Those seven pitchers combined for NINE scoreless innings!

Jose Ramirez Made Two Big Plays at 3rd Base

A couple of bouncing balls his way where he was able to throw out the runner at first potentially saved the game!

A Big HAHA to Corey Kluber

This former Cleveland pitcher now on the Rays gave up the game-winning home run in the 15th inning to Oscar Gonzalez!

Let’s Be Real – Things Have to Change

Our offense went 14 innings of scoreless baseball. The team struck out 19 times (in 15 innings) and only had five hits (one extra-base). In Game One, the team only scored two runs. There needs to be much more offense in the Yankees series.

Congratulations to Oscar Gonzalez!

Being the hitter to smash the walk-off homer to take the series must be thrilling! Congrats to him!

Now, Cleveland Fans Can Focus on The Browns!

The Browns play the Chargers on Sunday at one. If the Guardians lost today, that game would have been before the Guardians/Rays Game Three series decider at four.
