The Naylor Brothers (Josh and Bo) will never forget yesterday’s National Siblings Day for as long as they live. Their families won’t forget it. Cleveland Guardians fans won’t forget it. The brothers were the heroes for yesterday’s 7-6 victory over the Chicago White Sox. Guardians rallied from a five-run deficit to win the game. All thanks to the Naylor Brothers.

Chicago got on board early in the first inning by scoring two runs. They would score three more runs in the top of the third inning. In the bottom of the fourth inning, things started to click for Cleveland. Josh Naylor put the Guardians on the board when he hit a home run to center field. In the same inning, with one man on base, Bo Naylor hit a two-run home run to cut the lead to 5-3. They became the first brothers to hit a home run in the same inning.

In the bottom of the 10th, Guardians trailing 6-5, Josh Naylor hit a double to deep left center that brought Andres Gimenez home to tie the game. Bo Naylor came up to the plate shortly later and hit a single to center field to bring Tyler Freeman home.

This is one of the most memorable games of the Guardians’ season. You have two brothers, playing on the same team, it’s National Siblings Day, both hit home runs in the same inning, and they’re responsible for tying and winning the game in the bottom of the 10th inning? That’s a Hollywood script right there. You could not write a better script than that. It’s a blessing to see a successful family shining in the big leagues. Cleveland is in good hands with the Naylor brothers for years to come.

Steven Kwan also hit a home run in this game. We couldn’t forget about him since his home run cut the lead to one (5-4). Guardians improve to 9-3 in the season. This is their best start since 2002 when they started the season with an 11-1 record.
