My Top Five Cleveland Browns Draft Picks in the New Era

Joel Bitonio, drafted in the 2nd round, 35th overall in 2014

From the darkness of a first round (which saw the Browns picking Justin Gilbert and Johnny Manziel), came a less-than-small light. Joel Bitonio joined the Browns in one of the worst times in franchise history. Constant quarterback and coaching changes riddled the Browns organization from 2012 until recently. Through the upheaval, Joel Bitonio has been a reliable piece of the Browns offensive line. Despite back-to-back injury-plagued seasons in 2015 and 2016, Bitonio has since become a Pro Bowler and a second-team All-Pro at his left guard spot. Time will tell how much more Bitonio will blossom, but with the Browns finally, on the brink of playoff contention, Bitonio will be looked at as a leader on the O-Line for years to come.
