LeBron: “Family, Winning” Will be Determining Factors in Free Agency Decision
With his pending free agency this July, LeBron fielded questions all year in regards to where he intends on signing. For the vast majority of the season, he’s dodged them, repeating time and time again that he’s an in-the-moment player and hasn’t given any thought to the decision. After the team’s shootaround Sunday, his answer to these questions finally changed. When asked once again about his upcoming free agency by cleveland.com‘s Joe Vardon, LeBron finally gave us a little insight into what will he use to make his decision.
“My family. That’s all that matters. I want to continue to win at the highest level, because I know I can still do it as an individual, and then my family. My family is what’s most important to me, more than anything… We make joint decisions all together, all the time. Once we get to it, my agent and my team we will all tackle it the right way, but my family plays a big part in it. And winning.”
While he may not have given us the definite answer we’ve hoped for, at least we know a little more about what he’s thinking. There has been so much speculation regarding his free agency already. It’s hilarious to be honest, considering the regular season isn’t even over yet. People have already written him off as leaving, despite the fact he hasn’t given any inclination on what he’s doing besides this.
So, even though I’ll be contributing to the speculation craziness, I’m going to try and break down how these two factors coincide with the teams he’s been rumored to have interest in.
