Jarrett Allen Responds to Being Snubbed from All-Star considerations!

With the 2022 NBA All-Star game being played in Cleveland, the team’s winning record and the phenomenal play of Jarrett Allen and Darius Garland, many in Cleveland expected to see more than one Cavalier selected for the All-Star team.

However, after announcing the Eastern conference reserves, the world saw that one of the talented Cavs players was snubbed.

Cavs center Jarrett Allen.

Jarrett averages 16 points and 11 rebounds per game for the Cavs while shooting over 67 % from the field this season.  All career bests.  Not to mention he has helped set the tone defensively for the Cavs since day one.

Some fans say they understand the snub because Allen’s play as of late had not been up to his standards.  He has averaged 11.8 points and 10.4 rebounds over the previous five games going into Friday night.  But everyone goes through ups and downs throughout a long 82 game season.

In one of the first articles I wrote on this platform, I said Jarrett Allen was one of the most underrated players in the league.

However, Jarrett put everyone on notice Friday night, scoring 29 points and pulling down 22 boards dominantly.  Sending a clear message that he is an All-Star!

NBA champion, former All-star and teammate Kevin Love has shown much support to his teammate, telling him after the game Friday, “You are a f**king all-star!”

Coach J.B. Bickerstaff wasn’t silent on the matter either, telling the media before Friday’s game, “Personally, I think Jarrett got snubbed.  You look at what he’s done over the year, and there’s no real way to justify him not making it.”

Bickerstaff went on to say, “Obviously, it’s difficult because there are a lot of talented players out there.  But again, if we respect winning the way we respect winning, there’s no way that Jarrett Allen doesn’t make the All-Star team.  We’re extremely disappointed that he didn’t make it.”

After Friday’s game in Charlotte, Coach had much more to add about Allen.  “Right from the beginning of the game, he came out with a clear message for the league.  I think he sent it loud and clear.  That’s an All-Star performance when we needed it most.”

Coach Bickerstaff ended by saying, “We know who Jarrett is and he’s going to continue to go out and prove people wrong and play with that chip and that edge.”

Do you agree?  Do you feel Jarrett Allen was snubbed?  Do you think he will continue this level of dominant play?  Let us know.
