Well, Cavs fans, we were blessed with some amazing news this morning as star point guard Isaiah Thomas has been assigned to the G-League Canton Charge. Thomas is on assignment in order to full participant in the Canton-full team practice scheduled for later today.
So far this season, Thomas has participated in some light practicing, mostly doing workouts on his own and slow simulated four on fours. Now, Thomas will finally be a full participant in practice for the first time this season. This though is an amazing sign that the All-Pro Thomas is very close to returning.
It was originally reported earlier this week by Yahoo Sports’ Shams Charania that Thomas would be returning around the first week of January. However, Thomas immediately shut down those reports on his own twitter account giving fans hope that he would return even sooner.
Cavs Guard Isaiah Thomas is targeting the first week of April to make his debut, league sources tell IT!

I guess all you have to say is “ league Sources tell….” and your article or whatever is legit lol

Now, it would appear that Thomas is very close to returning to NBA action with this current assignment to Canton. Early reports from AP have also stated that Thomas could return as early as “next week” to full NBA action for the Cavs. Whether or not that is true has yet to be seen, or responded to by Thomas himself.
Currently, the Cavs are 23-9 and at the third spot in the Eastern Conference and have been playing their best basketball, winners of 19 of their last 21. After a slow start to the season, the Cavs are finally in sync, looking to make another trip to the finals and Thomas coming back will do nothing by help.
