Is the Window to Contend for a Title Closing for the Indians?

No one expected the Indians to make their deep playoff run in 2016 that ended with blowing a 3-1 lead to the Chicago Cubs in the World Series. In 2017, a lot of people expected to Tribe to not only make it back to the World Series but end their long-standing championship drought in the process. Instead, the team blew another series lead to the dreaded New York Yankees. This year, the Indians not only looked arguably worse than the past two seasons but left a lot of people, including myself, asking if the team has what it takes to win anymore?

Without a doubt, the bullpen was a major weakness of the Indians this year. However, without that history-making 22-game win streak from a year ago, who knows what the final record looks like going into last October. Without a lengthy win streak for the third straight year, the Indians go into October with the lowest winning percentage (.562) of all the AL playoff teams. The future is definitely bright, but it’s starting to look a little dim as well.
