Interviewing Browns Ahead of 2020 Pro Bowl!

Hello, Cleveland Sports Talk readers! My name is Miles Marks and I am a current Senior at the University of Central Florida studying Hospitality Business Management. You may have seen my CST columns covering fantasy football and the Cleveland Indians, so it’s great to be back! Before we dive into this year’s 2020 Pro Bowl Preview, there are a couple of acknowledgments I wish to express.
First, and foremost, I would like to thank the loyal CST community and followers. Without your support on social media, none of this would’ve been possible. Thank you for your continuous encouragement of sports dialogue as CST strives to deliver on its passion for creating meaningful Cleveland sports content.
I would also like to thank CST’s founder, Zach Shafron. This was an incredible opportunity to represent CST’s brand and followers, and Zach was the X-factor behind all of it. Zach has built Cleveland Sports Talk from the ground-up for nearly a decade and this recognition from the NFL has undoubtedly defined his perseverance. Thank you, Zach, for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but more so for being a great friend and a passionate leader.
At this year’s 2020 NFL Pro Bowl Week activities in Orlando, FL, I had the chance to take the field with access to this year’s Pro Bowl selections. Highly-touted players such as Drew Brees, Derrick Henry, Russell Wilson and your favorite Browns were legitimate yards away from the media and myself. It was an awe-inspiring experience with memories that will last a lifetime. Before snapping a few pictures with some of the NFL’s best, I interviewed Browns Pro Bowl attendees WR Jarvis Landry and OG Joel Bitonio. Below are short summaries of both conversations with each player from this past Wednesday, January 22.
Jarvis Landry, WR, Cleveland Browns:
Have you communicated with new Head Coach Kevin Stefanski? “Yeah, I have. We’ve both talked over the phone and texted with each other. [I’m] looking forward to meeting him in person when I get back to Cleveland.”
What is your mindset heading into this year’s Pro Bowl and offseason? “I have high expectations, we all do. I want[ed] to be playing in the Super Bowl as much as my teammates and that hasn’t changed heading into next season.”
How much is your Pro Bowl selection an accolade to your career? “It’s great to be here among the league’s best. Multiple Pro Bowls is a blessing. I just wish we were playing next week instead. Just keep setting high expectations for myself.”

Joel Bitonio, OG, Cleveland Browns:
How does it feel being back at the Pro Bowl “It’s great to be here. It’s a little colder than I expected it to be in Orlando *laughs*. It was really cold in Cleveland yesterday. To represent the Browns and the AFC as an 0ffensive lineman at the Pro Bowl is amazing. I’m definitely taking everything in.”
Have you communicated with new Head Coach Kevin Stefanski? “We’ve talked a little bit but I’m looking forward to meeting him when I’m back in Cleveland. He’s had a lot of success in Minnesota, so I’m excited to meet him in person and get to work.”
What is your mindset heading into this year’s offseason? “Definitely want to be in the best mindset possible heading into this next season. The grind doesn’t stop in the offseason, so I want to focus on being healthy and continue to be the best I can be.”
