Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports tweeted Tuesday afternoon that “The Indians are exploring a wide range of options, including a trade of Swisher for a player with an inflated contract.” Chris Antonetti told Jim Bowden of Sirius XM Sunday that the Indians have made a lot of progress on the trade front, and this could be one of those possible scenarios. The Cubs are reportedly interested in Swisher, according to Bruce Levine, of CBS Chicago. I would expect the Indians to deal Swisher at their first opportunity.

Possible Trade Candidates could be B.J. Upton, Edwin Jackson, John Danks, Cody Ross, Ubaldo Jimenez, and Ricky Nolasco, according to Ken Rosenthal.

Swisher hit .208 with 8 HR and just 42 RBI in a injury plagued 2014 season. He was limited to playing in just 97 games.
