The Indians fell to the White Sox today behind Josh Tomlin. Tomlin came into the game with a 3-1 record and a 2.97 ERA. The Indians did not take long to get ahead to a 1-0 lead thanks to an RBI single by Ryan Raburn in the 3rd inning. Raburn attempted to reach second but was thrown out. Terry Francona challenged the call, but it was upheld due to minimal evidence.Things were going smooth until with 2 outs in the bottom of the 3rd Inning Lonnie Chisenhall botched a ground ball at 3rd base giving the White Sox an extra opportunity. Dayan Viciedo did not put that opportunity to waste. In the Next at bat he crushed a no doubt about it three run homer to left field. This put the White Sox out in front 3-1. It was all downhill from there for the Indians who ended up Losing the game 6-2.
Josh Tomlin took the loss and fell to 3-2 on the year. The Indians take on the White Sox tomorrow at 8:10. Justin Masterson and Chris Sale will square off for the two clubs.
