A familiar face is back in the Tribe red and blue. The Indians announced on Tuesday morning that former outfielder, Grady Sizemore, would become an adviser to player development.

Sizemore, who spent eight years with the Indians, will begin assisting players at the major league level, before transitioning to the minor league level sometime in March. He will oversee players as they fine-tune their skills throughout the season at the lower levels.

Sizemore became a household name for Cleveland back in the mid-2000’s, as he was an All-Star for three consecutive seasons from 2006 – 2008. He is the only player in the franchise’s history to have hit 100 home runs, leg out 200 doubles and steal 100 bases. Sadly, he had his stint with the Tribe shortened due to lingering injuries that kept him from continuing his stardom.

Welcome back, Grady!
