Indians demote Hagadone, recall Crockett

The Indians made a move to strengthen their bullpen Friday afternoon. In doing so they demoted LHP Nick Hagadone who posted a 7.71 ERA in the past week after being called up.

Kyle Corckett was recalled from AAA Columbus. The LHP pitcher has a 2.08 ERA in his very short MLB career, but has very solid, consistent numbers throughout his minor league career, boasting a 0.55 lifetime ERA since being drafted just a year ago. Crockett flew through the Indians minor league system going all the way from Mahoning Valley (Short A) to Akron (AA) in just 2 months.

Justin Masterson will face Jon Lackey tonight in Boston.
