Indians Coach named Candidate For Rays’ Manager Job
The Rays announced Thursday that Indians pitching coach Kevin Cash was named as one of the 8 candidates for the managerial position. Cash has spent the last two years as the Indians bullpen coach, arriving at the start of the 2013 season.
Cash played professionally for 12 seasons with six organizations from 2000-2011, including parts of 8 seasons in the Major Leagues with five different teams from 2002-2010.
Former Indians manager Manny Acta was also named as a candidate.
