Lindor is leading the charge for the “batting average is a useless stat” brigade. Despite his batting average being 38 points worse than last year, he’s actually having a better season. A lot of that can be attributed to his new found power. He is already at 12 home runs this season; his career high is 15, set last year. The reason Lindor is in this tier though is because he has 180,000 more votes than the next closest shortstop, Carlos Correa.
