The 28 year wait was finally ended in the 1940’s, as the Indians captured their second World Series title.  Unfortunately, this would be the last one Cleveland would win for, well, lets not get into that.  It wasn’t until the late 40’s when the Indians hit their stride as a team, but once it happened, the Indians would go on to have 10 straight winning seasons, led by a plethora of Hall of Fame players.  This was indeed the golden age of the Indians.

Best Season: 97-58 in 1948, World Series Champions

Worst Season: 68-86 in 1946

Overall Record: 800-731

*Note: No DH will appear on this list, since the DH was established until 1973
