Indians All-Decade Team: 1901-1909
Technically, the appropriate title should be either the Blues/Bronchos/Naps All-Decade Team. The name “Indians” didn’t become a fixture until the 1915 season, but I digress.
Over the next 12 weeks, Cleveland Sports Talk will unveil the Indians All-Decade Teams every Wednesday until we reach the 2015 season. Today we start at the beginning, with the 1901-1909 All-Decade Team. Here is a quick overview of the decade:
Best Season: 90-64 in 1908
Worst Season: 54-82 in 1901
Overall Record: 697-632
*Note: No DH or Closing Pitcher will appear on this list since the DH did not exist, and relief pitchers were few and far between.
