I’m Pissed Off About The Cavs
Cavs rant in…5…4…3…2…1
Just a few months ago, it seemed as if the only guarantee in life was that the Cleveland Cavaliers were going to be an amazing basketball team. Now, they’re a dysfunctional bunch that hates their coach, can’t play defense and features a man that’s decided to be the player, the coach, and GM, hell, LeBron may even buy the team soon.
Yeah, that’s right. I’m pissed off about the Cavs.
I’ve written plenty of articles defending this team. Begging everyone to give coach Blatt a chance. Demanding that we wait for the team to gel and reach total greatness.
Right now, they’re 19-20. And I’m done defending this bullshit, for lack of a better word.
It all starts with LeBron James, who now thinks he’s one of God’s guardian angels, too important to let others do their job. If LeBron respected coach Blatt, you better believe the rest of the team would too. We’re expecting great leadership out of James, but instead we’ve receieved an entitled and cocky player that thinks he runs the team and can do it all by himself.
No one plays defense. No one shows any heart or hustle. No one truly wants it. Just 40 games into the season, and we’re watching a tired bunch of unmotivated and exausted players.
THIS TEAM WAS SUPPOSED TO WIN THE TITLE!!!
Right now, even a playoff birth is starting to become questionable. And that’s in the very forgiving Eastern Conference. The Cavs have lost 9 of 10, mostly with LeBron sitting on the bench or chilling at Jerry’s World with his Buckeyes. But still, LeBron or not there’s so much talent wearing that Wine and Gold that we should be able to win without James out there, at least some games…
I just feel like this team is going through the motions. It’s hard to watch them disrepect coach Blatt so much, trying to do it on their own. We’re under .500, so clearly it’s not working. Let the man coach, he’s a genius of the game – just internationally.
As fans, we pay good money to watch this team, and right now I’d rather go to a Lake Erie Monsters game. Those guys probably give it 100% on the ice and actually listen to their coach.
For now, we continue to watch, to hope and to pray that something clicks and this team finally slams on the gas and shoots up the standings during the second half of the season. This is a team built to win a championship, but without the motivation, the great amount of talent this team carries will be a match to other teams in the East that simply want it more.
