To be quite frank, I’m tired of everyone saying that “it’s early” in this 2014 Cleveland Indians baseball season. I didn’t realize that games in September had any more value in the standings than games in April did. It’s as if fans are under the impression that each win in the latter part of season ends up being worth double points.

If you rewind to last year, just think about how many games the Indians finished behind the Detroit Tigers.

One.

Any two mistakes in April or May that costed us wins at that time eventually costed us the division title as well. However, those mistakes were most likely were forgotten as the season trudged on. That I why I hold the Cleveland Indians up to the highest of standards and expectations no matter what month of the year it is.

So don’t tell me it’s April, because I know the date. I want to win now.
