Hunt or Be Hunted: The Kareem Hunt Issue

Browns running back Kareem Hunt has requested to be traded. I mean, I get it. The guy would have the potential to be great and it wouldn’t be displayed if he was within the depth chart under Nick Chubb and D’Ernest Johnson here in Cleveland.
Hunt wasn’t participating in drills and such as part of him showing his displeasure with the situation during camp.
In the 2021 regular season, Hunt had 386 yards rushing and five rushing touchdowns. This being on only 78 attempts. For reference, Nick Chubb had 228 attempts in ’21. Hunt obviously believes he could carry the load as a starting running back and that isn’t the case here in Cleveland.
Hunt is entering the final year of his two-year 12 million dollar extension. He’s about to make $6.25 million this year.
What team would the Browns be wise to try and partner up with the Browns for a trade? Or should the team just re-sign him like he wants?
Well, the Kansas City Chiefs, New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals, New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons – Via Dawg Pound Daily. If the Browns receive a really great offer for Hunt, that could change everything and lead the team to be more inclined to trade the running back away.
It would be unwise for the Browns to completely get rid of the one-two punch just because of Hunt’s displeasure with the team. The running game would be absolutely stellar moving forward this upcoming season. As long as the team is able to work everything out with Hunt…
Unfortunately, it’s never good to have any type of tension within the roster and this could certainly cause that as long as Hunt has his problems with the Browns.
Just like the Deshaun Watson issues, it’s another one of those “wait and see” type of deals moving forward with how the team handles everything and how Hunt behaves.
Just imagine running backs of Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt together could be moving forward this season.
Let’s not blow this, Browns!
Finally, let’s take a look at Kareem Hunt himself and have him appreciate the fact that he could be in a great spot alongside his running back counterparts. Might be a best case scenario within this upcoming year.
“Hunt or be hunted!”
That’s what a lot of teams will be doing in trying to make a trade offer for running back Kareem Hunt in the coming days. It’ll be interesting if anything comes about this and if the Browns are able to work anything out that’s positive for everyone!
