Game Preview: Kluber looks for 7th win


The Indians open a 2 game series tonight at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.

Kluber who went 6 IP, giving up 4 ER, and striking out  4 in his last outing against Boston, will be taking the mound for the Indians. Kluber is 6-3 on the year with a 3.23 ERA over 86.1 IP, and is  currently 4th in the league in strikeouts with 99, trailing the leader David Price, who has 111.

Jason Vargas (5-2, 3.28 ERA) will be taking the mound for Kansas City. Vargas went 8.0 IP, while giving up only 2 runs ,and striking out 3 against St.Louis his last time out. He picked up a no-decision in this contest.


The Indians offense is coming off a night where they collectively scored 17 runs en route to beating Texas 17-7.

Players to Watch:

Lonnie Chisenhall: Chisenhall went 5-5 last night with 3 Home Runs, and tying a club record 9 RBI. Chisenhall has gotten his average up to .385 on the season, a team best.

Jason Kipnis: Jason Kipnis has shown many signs of improvement since returning from the DL. Kipnis went 3-5 last night with 4 RBI, and 3 runs scored.
